You can try and make one, however give ‘em some flaws, make ‘em go through some turmoil that brought them to their ideals they have now.

You just went around the wrong way with making that guy. You could take notes from Hope!Sans, who although strong is just equal to Fear!Sans in power and had his motivations and ideals set due to multiple events he went through (The human and monster war, and The Fear Event.)
