"You thought I was playing God? If a flower could do it, then how hard could it be? No, all this time I've been playing human." -Emperor Tempus speaking to Therovenor.

Information[]

Imperator Aeterna, Inheritor De Kronos; Titan Tempus (real name Philippus Divinitatis) is an ambitious human and the only (known) political threat to the Church of Quondam. He arrived at the Godverse to show that these, "Godversians", must be exterminated. In order to fulfill his purpose, he acquired a new identity, an iron-fisted emperor named Tempus Aeterna. He claimed to the Godversians that he had the ability to speak to The Almighty, that they were misusing their newfound soul capacities by distorting it amongst themselves, and that he was the only one who had the right to do so, convincing them and creating a system of sigils to restrict the Godversians' use of soul magic and knowledge, and those who resisted were declared "wild Godversians" who would face draconian punishments and even death. In fact, a part of the land was named dedicated to the blood that was shed, it's called: "The Endless Gorge Of Crimson." Sometime later he was named God of the Lands, gaining the respect and devotion of all who inhabited them, without knowing all the deception he has done towards them. He has made many enemies and many friends, but none of that mattered. To him, elimination of the Godverse and all traces of it was necessary.

In his early childhood, he has had strange nightmares of two constantly shifting beings; one towering over him at 20 feet and another being the size of a child. The first one spoke to him in a calm yet menacing tone, and the second one seemed bored out of their minds. He tried to explain those things to the Grand Priests. Fearing such individuality, he was reported to the AU Division Managers. Throughout the questioning he was frequently subject to torture methods akin to the punishments he received at home, he laughed them off madly and referred to them as their parents during the insanity. Even before this he was oftentimes isolated by the rest of the church, being ostracized and harassed for their lack of upbringing. He was often forced into troubles by higher ups of the church or fellow worshippers by various means. These tales are accounted in “The Ascendant Crucible, Disgraceful Deacons.”, which is the text most commonly used in the Kronos Sect, although it isn’t a requirement. After the questioning was over, he was excommunicated from the Church Of Quondam. He was bullied even more, often being called names like “False Eyes”, being constantly stabbed or slashed in back; both physically with a knife and emotionally when all of his quote on quote “friends” left him.

During his late teens (around 15-16), his parents continued abusing him behind closed doors and even more severely after Philip’s excommunication, resulting in fingers and parts of his face permanently mangled and even destroyed. This may have resulted in his mass paranoia and hatred for the church. When he finished schooling, he lived in a shack in the middle of nowhere and started writing down his theories, when a gate ruptured open and sucked him in to this hellhole. That's when he encountered one of the familiar faces he saw in his dreams, one that emerged in his nightmares. Philip fell to the floor, pleading; begging for his life. That's when they laughed, it was an eerie, shrill; almost child-like laugh. "Kill you? As if. I ain't gettin' my hands that dirty." The creature spoke in a high-pitched yet raspy tone. Now, armed with the knowledge of the Lord of Misfortune; Philip set forth.

Logs[]

"After careful analysis of this "Purgewardian" Era, I believe the current human year is...2017, 2019? No matter, decades are flashing by, but it will all be worth it. I've gathered all the proper tools neccessary to harness fully of the powers of the Lords of Misfortune and Masquerading, leading to an end of these savages for good."

"I am beginning to prepare the way for my light of right to be flourished and impeccable. Soon those foolhardy worshippers and madman galavanters will rue the day they messed with me."

"My journey through the Other Realm is far from over. But today I humbly donate my journal to the ages. Entry one: May 21st... I think. My name is Philip Divinatis, and I found myself in a world so horrid, yet so fantastic, few minds could have dreamt it."

“After fifty decades, I have finally found it. A power source so potent it can pierce through realms...the Sap Of Time. There are old tales of lakes reflecting green trees and blue skies. The Titan's vein runs through the land, and many believe that these wild portals are created when a little of its blood leaks into the water. That is how I came here, so that is the first place I shall look. I will journey back to... Pathway Lake."

Backstory[]

After taking residence within the Godverse, a couple of Greater dogs and a rather strikingly dressed Spamton knocked on the doors of his cathedral, unknowingly interrupting the mass held there; he opened the massive doors, each one being a kilometer tall, when they hit the walls, it boomed loudly. This was an invitation to be to a Godverse noble, seeing this opportunity; he accepted, this was the start of Philip, The Heavenly Yaksha. Many centum millenniums passed, and the news of Joy Lord Maxim and Homburg Eshu, the Godversian equivalents of Joy Boy and Luffy was introduced into the mainstream. Threatened by their existence, it was him that pushed forth the censorship of the myth and the true establishment of the Versal Government. He became among the top dogs of nobility and would be one of the 4 Great Caudillos that would pull the strings behind the cosmic curtains.

Personality[]

As Emperor Aeterna, he is described as "infallible and regal", a strict and commanding figure who is often impatient and intolerant of failure from his subordinates. Despite his intolerance of failure, Aeterna can be quite lenient towards servants that he values highly enough, such as the case with Stally and her constant failures to her sister, but even that lenience has limits. His authority is shown to be a powerful one that garners fear and respect. If Aeterna has any weaknesses, it would be his random stutters of insanity and intimidating tone. He assumed Stally would continue to serve him after his true plans for her sister, Tempy, were revealed, and simply shrugged off her betrayal and intended for her to be petrified along with her sister.

Aeterna appears to have no emotional care or attachments to anyone, regarding them as expendable once they no longer serve a purpose to him. A minor exception to this is shown with his attachment to his "nephew", Eliminare, whom he acts gentler and calmer toward. However, the genuineness of this attachment is shown to be a one-sided ruse in order to keep them from rising against him as the previous Lus Dexteras’ did. Aeterna is also shown to be cold-hearted towards Eliminare. This is particularly true whenever Eliminare brings up wild magic. He is not above emotionally manipulating Eliminare's insecurities to engineer faith and loyalty in Eliminare, going as far as to foster Eliminare's false sense of purpose that painted Eliminare as being important in the Titan's plans, he still regrets those actions behind closed doors but knows there is no other way.

However, he respects those who he deems as noble and earned his respect, such as Everett thanks to their unorthodox techniques. He has a strong sense of honor in combat, only fighting dirty against the impure. Never resorting to bad sportsmanship and cheap shots to win a fight, Aeterna fights with prestige and determination. Also, behind that royal mask, is a paranoid and quiet man; fearful of those above. He is also sensitive and easily irritated, especially when his position is challenged. If you don’t upset him and actually get a good bond with him, you find a somewhat caring friend; devoted to his morals and those closest to him. Behind closed doors he is seen on the verge of losing it, nearly snapping at the slightest sound. To members of his sect, he is humane and much more free with the rules; definitely more tolerant than the cult of the 7 sisters.

In his early years, he was less of the regal figure he is now and more of the quiet and paranoid teen behind closed doors. He flinched at the slightest sound, often cowering in the corner during heated debates. He also led a group of revolution called the Outside Alignment, who told people the truth about the church; and warned AUs about future invasions. He still leads them to this day.

Appearance[]

As an Ascended human from the Mortalverse, he can vary in looks. However, his most consistent one is that of a similar stature to Emperor Belos, except their blue eyes are replaced with a glaring crimson and orchid glow. The mask is white and cracked, Philip's hands are carved with the sigil of the Church of Quondam on his right, and a clock on his left. After becoming Aeterna, he can make his eyes glow light red and purple, which was first shown when Indigo cracks the right side of his mask and exposes one of them. Both of their arms have scars, slits, and bruises on them from the madness that has tried to overwhelm him time and time again, he is also seen with a twitchy eye. His right arm is bandaged, and his left arm is partially torn off, you can see the bone and flesh of it.

Philip dressed in a formal attire of what appeared to be Jacobian England high fashion, comprised of a long-sleeved coat with studded tails reaching all the way to his thighs and an upward-facing collar. Underneath his coat was a frilly undershirt, most notably having frilled sleeves. His neck region was further decorated with an equally frilly necktie. His pants were a pair of breeches tightly fastened around his calves. Finally, he wore a pair of short boots with high heels. As Aeterna, he wears a white mask, seemingly damaged, with two long upward-facing horns; one of the horns seemingly damaged. His eyes are hollow through the mask, creating the appearance of having empty, X-shaped eye sockets. He wears a large grey cape with black trim.

When his body transforms, he turns into a grey-and-black sludge-like substance that turns him into a deformed, skeletal creature with disproportionately long limbs that constantly drip sludge, accompanied by various orange and yellow eyes covering his body, and four horns that resemble those of his mask, each horn at an angle. There are several burning red slash-marks across the body. The only human features he retains are his 5-inch scar across the face and his eyes, which glow bright red instead of the usual heterochromia.

Abilities[]

Universal Cubic Nigh-Omnipresence and Nigh-Omniscience[]

As long as Imperator is within the universes that Echo or pieces of them are currently residing, he is nearly all-seeing and all knowing.

Superior Negation[]

As a user of the Whimsy Lord's power, he has glaringly superior negation capacities; capable of negating immunities to it, counters, bypasses; Immutability, and more.

Inheritor Praeteritum[]

As the founder of the Kronos Sect, he can use all of their member's abilities. However, they must join in order for Aeterna to use them. Power and scaling is irrelevant, he gains them all the same. With an empire that rivals the likes of Ascended!Tale, it’s safe to say he is a nigh-unstoppable force of versatility and creativity.

Ability Key[]

A direct counter to Ability Lock, using this he can negate the lock and bypass it. This allows for his attacks and their intended effects to be unable to be disabled by anyone weaker than him.

Multiverse Manipulation[]

The user can manipulate the entire multiverse and everything within. The multiverse is the collection of all parallel universes of a certain universe regardless if it’s fictional or real. The user may be limited to control over their own multiverse or the multiverse of a particular universe. Advanced users of this power can manipulate multiple or all multiverses.

Universal Lordship[]

The user has control of everything existing within their universe. They may even have control over multiple universes as well.

Personal Domain[]

The user has a personal domain: an area in which the user has absolute power, through magical, supernatural, scientifically, or other means, which may be a physical area or an entire dimension. For Imperator, that realm is the Tempus Realm.

Tempus Realm[]

The central realm and capital of the Kronos Sect. Here he is essentially God within its confines. He can essentially redefine and rearrange the Tempus Realm and its concepts however he pleases. He also has authority over the entirety of the Kronos Sect, although it is weaker.

Cubic Omnipresence (Tempus Realm and Kronos Sect Only)[]

He is everywhere, anywhere, and nowhere within the Tempus Realm and Kronos Sect. Outside of it he is not.

Cubic Anthroscience (Tempus Realm Only)[]

He knows everything and anything about the Tempus Realm and its culture, history; society, traditions, and more. Whether it be past, present, or future.

Cubic Nigh-Anthroscience (Entirety of Kronos Sect)[]

He knows about the past and present about the Kronos Sect and culture, history, society, and traditions of the entirety of it. However he doesn’t know of its future, he can only make an educated guess about it.

Ultimate Regeneration (Level 3)[]

At this level, users can use intangible and nonphysical aspects of themselves to heal, such as their mind (not to be confused with the brain), soul, a form of supernatural/esoteric energy, or anything of the sort. This would entail that even if nothing is left of their bodies down to the most micro-level, they would be restored back to their original forms flawlessly.

Supernatural Combat[]

Users possess immense combat skills, both offensive and defensive, that far surpass other beings of their verse. Their skills may be highly innate superhuman, honed or both. This encompasses speed, strength, precision, reflexes, technique, analysis, control, adaptation, and all aspects of practical fighting. Depending on the users, they may be specialized in specific types of weaponry (melee, ranged, natural, etc.), and invariably wield them with surreal efficiency, or possess incredible unarmed combat skill or have superhuman proficiency to utilize magic or their superpowers in combat and can perform inconceivable supernatural feats. Most observers are simply incapable to understand what's happening, with only a user being able to gauge the skill of another.

Healing Undoing (Ultimate: Level 1)[]

User can undo any wound, disease, injury on another living being that that has been healed or cured. This can be done to impair an opponent, or undo cures that get rid of diseases. With some skill, some users can even make it so that the wounds and injuries undone not only heal again slowly, but make them not heal at all as well.

Reliant Immortality/Invulnerability (Nigh Absolute)[]

The user is immortal and invulnerable, their existence tied to an object, soul fragments, or even a person or concepts. So long as these things exist, the user can never die or even be harmed. As Philippus is tied to the concept of Pride, those with humility weaken him greatly, something akin to Professor Miller's Hate Reliance.

Anti-Healing (Ultimate: Level 3)[]

The user can affect a target's healing process and tweak it in order to worsen affliction/injuries. Targets with enhanced recovery abilities have their power inverted to worsen physical conditions by magnifying the severity of existing wounds, reasserting old afflictions and worsening a naturally healthy state.

Charm/Beauty Immunity[]

He is immune to charm, beauty, and any/all forms of seduction. If Noir!Frisk were to greet this man, he would simply snap their head right off.

Time Manipulation (Advanced Level)[]

Through the clock on his right hand, he possesses the ability of a Advanced Level Time Manipulator. However, if it is permanently destroyed; he cannot manipulate time.

Belief Manipulation[]

In his left hand, he can sense and manipulate the belief of themselves, people, animals and other creatures, whether by increasing, decreasing, causing or otherwise channeling emotions, even manifesting it to a physical level.

The user can manipulate systems of belief (such as religions) including the establishment of doctrines, performance of ceremonies, participation in rituals, and spreading the faith, worship and beliefs to others. They can establish moral codes of conduct which will guarantee anyone into any sort of spiritual afterlife or even pass judgment upon them.

Will Erasure[]

The user is able to erase the willpower of others, leaving the victim's spirit diminished.

Weapons[]

Staff Of Aeternum: The appearance of the staff is akin to the staff of Belos' except instead of a white and gold trim, it has a white and red trim. This is how Imperator bypasses and negates the immortality/invulnerability of an opponent. This is how Philip uses Spirit Breathing.

Techniques[]

As the only user of all six forms of the original Spirit Stance, he is an undoubted champion over the art. As he also uses the variations to a masterful degree, Philip’s versatility is increased by a margin.

Spirit Stance, First Form: Unholy Gash: The user performs high-speed twists and rotations, thus creating afterimages used mostly to evade attacks, before finishing with several thrusts and strikes from the back.

Spirit Stance, Second Form: Prideful Pierce: The user unleashes a continuous fast and powerful staff attack, before finishing with several powerful thrusts with the point or edge of the weapon.

Spirit Stance, Third Form: Arrogant Airblast: This essentially worms like Dancing Flash except it finishes with a flurry of downward slashes that at first are concentrated over a small radius but then expands, albeit the slashes are more spread out.

Spirit Stance, Fourth Form: Divine Dash: Philip quickly draws his staff and slashes swiftly in a singular horizontal motion in a crescent shape, creating numerous chaotic crescent blades, before finishing by dashing forward at blinding speeds and decapitating their opponent faster than they can react, before sheathing it back.

Spirit Stance, Fifth Form: Hubris of the Holy: Philip releases six blasts accompanied by lightning in quick succession. This is then finished with him delivering a circular spinning strike to send an opponent upwards.

Spirit Stance, Sixth Form: Valiant Vainity: The user unleashes several 360° horizontal and vertical slashes at varying angles, each slash creates a ring of yellow electricity around them. This is then followed by the bursting of each individual ring and is then finished by a downward strike to the ground in an X shaped pattern.

Fatum Rewriter[]

In this phase, all abilities are heightened drastically. He now has complete control over the concept of pride. Now he is capable of easily defeating 4th Wall Sans. However, its full power is unknown.

Immortality/Invulnerability/Regeneration Removal[]

The user can remove the immortal/invulnerability status and the regeneration capacities from an opponent, rendering them mortal and vulnerable to fatal damage. He can remove any level of it as long as it’s not nigh-absolute or absolute in power.

Concept Manipulation (Pride)[]

The user can manipulate parts, parts of a set, all known parts, or all existent parts of concepts, change concepts and their definition, create new ones by warping a universal idea or create one out of nothing, so long as it is rational, and consistent with preexisting concepts. A concept is an idea or definition for anything concrete or abstract such as the Concept of Time and Concept of Space. In the universe by creating a concept, the user is able to define its fundamental bases and apply it for several ways or change existent concepts like reality or energy to enhance it or decrease its effects in various scales. As Imperator controls the concept of human Pride, he can manipulate sins; vices, and anything relating to it.

Concept Embodiment (Pride)[]

The users are the embodiment/representation of a certain abstract concept or idea.

Immortality/Invulnerability/Regeneration Augmentation[]

After stealing an opponent’s immortality/invulnerability/renegeration, he can enhance and multiply the level of it he already has by a drastic amount; thus giving him the potential to be nigh-unkillable. This augmentation sticks with him even though he reverts to his base form.

Anti-Healing Factor Immunity.[]

This doesn't make his healing factor absolute, this just gives his healing factor the capacity to be immune by any reversal of it.

Soul Abilities[]

Just like Flowey, Imperator possess several hundreds of trillions of souls within him, doing the same things that they could but on a much larger scale. However, he possesses a trait called "Purity", a direct counter to Flowey's impurity. Imperator can bring the truth to light from nearly any being and is able to erase nearly any sort of rewriting or illusion. "Purity" can set people on the right path, giving reason to most unreasonable and unorthodox of beings, revealing intentions and purifying them.

Superior Fatigue Inducement[]

The user can cause fatigue (a state of extreme tiredness) in a person or group of people. The exact length of the effect depends on both the users skill and power and the targets mental state. Since he is a user of the Misfortune Lord's power and goes for the concept of Tiredness entirely, he can bypass abilities such as Overexertion Immunity; Energy Independence, and Condition Retention.

Sayings[]

"If a flower could play God, how hard can it be right?"

"You were right about one thing Rovenor, the lower beings DO laugh about us: that's why they're lower than us. Try to keep up."

"Good, Evil? Who in their right mind would bring morality in a dump such as this, verily I tell you; elimination must come first."

"I've grown weary of you, now, begone!"

“Echo, you’re free…just as promised… Now, we can play a new game.”

"Give me the key you brat, now."

"On the contrary Everett, I am all for progress."

"Hush. . .I said HUSH!"

"Oh no no no...It's the Titan you should be worried about."

Relationships[]

Therovenor (Annoyance)

Just as Therovenor is annoyed by Liraz, Aetera is annoyed at Therovenor. They find their antics, beneath them.

G. Ene S. Pamton. (Uneasy Friend)

"That, thing; could help me in my plans, as is with Liraz; the enemy of my enemy is my friend. What a wonderful quote."

"Wyll D. Archon." (Friendly Terms)

"Another one affected by the cursed reality of this land? This is very interesting."

“Enzo G. 'Echo'” (Friendly-ish Terms)

”Give me more time.”

Everett Indigo (A Hassle)

"They can be...stubborn to say the least."

Trivia[]

  • This was inspired by the Owl House and how conflicting ideologies are in the end, pointless.
  • Very rarely will he kill, oftentimes restraining his rage in the form of shifting his arms into mulch.
  • I am still thinking of ideas of his backstory to this day.
  • This used to be a one-off joke in the Discord, before I had the balls to actually make it.
  • He still believes in the idea of a being like Quondam, but he doesn’t believe that that’s how the Omnipotent wants them to act.
  • Philip's denomination is Kronostheticism, this is after the creation of the Kronos Sect and was most likely the inspiration for its name.
