sans the skeleton, also known as Classic! sans or (during the events of an anarchy) "Remorse" is the original, canon sans, who originated from a post-pacifist timeline (In fact, he came from the same one as Classic! Toriel). During the events of Godverse, sans remained neutral, using the bar as a safe zone & refusing to fight, since it would go against his own nature... However, that doesn't mean that his "you'll be dead where you stand" ideology has been fully thrown away, and while he has often been the observant of fights, there have been events where he's been forced to act in a way that is considered... Odd.
This is accompanied by his alter Ego, a sans known as "remorse". this alternate "murder! sans" grew guilty of his acts, rather than insane, and thus did allow frisk to LV up before fighting... in truth, this was just sans making a fanfic to cover up his secrets as a judge, in a similar manner to how TS! Underswap's sans uses "Crossbones" as an alter ego.
